Developed within the RESIST project, the Raingarden Catalogue provides clear, accessible guidance to help property owners understand what rain gardens are, how they work, and how nature-based solutions can be implemented in everyday spaces.
Normandy’s climate adaptation strategy: a coordinated approach across local and European levels
Normandy is strengthening its response to increasingly frequent flooding, runoff and erosion through a coordinated climate adaptation strategy that connects local priorities with European collaboration. By combining governance, planning and knowledge exchange, the region is helping local authorities prepare for climate risks while contributing to broader resilience efforts across Europe.
The RESIST Repository Visualises CCA Solutions Across Europe
The RESIST repository is a powerful tool that supports the visualisation of climate change adaptation (CCA) solutions across the 12 RESIST regions and beyond. It is connected to the solutions developed within the project through which the repository can be accessed. Developed by KU Leuven within the RESIST project, it can serve as a shared reference point for evidence-based climate adaptation beyond the project itself.

RESIST Showcases Climate Resilience Solutions at EURESFO 2026, Focusing on Wildfire Prevention
The city of Guimarães, European Green Capital 2026, welcomed policymakers, researchers, regional authorities and climate resilience practitioners from across Europe for the 13th European Urban Resilience Forum (EURESFO). RESIST presented its climate adaptation solutions, joined discussions on integrated wildfire prevention, and demonstrated how knowledge exchange between regions is accelerating resilience across Europe.

RESIST Project was recently featured in Horizon Magazine, which showcases thought-provoking science and innovative research: “From floods to wildfires, new ideas are helping Europe adapt to climate extremes,” an article written by Bárbara Pinho.
REVOLVE Magazine featured the RESIST Project in an issue about wildfires and how to prevent them: “Reviving Abandoned Forests Is Europe’s Best Defence Against Wildfires,” an article written by Tom Lovett.
RESIST project will host a virtual exhibition where visitors can learn more about the region’s climate adaptation solutions. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with a graphical digital twin, allowing them to explore and forecast the potential impacts of different adaptation measures designed to address climate challenges such as flooding and groundwater rise.
This Community of Interest session aims to respond to that need by bringing together those working in climate adaptation to exchange perspectives, experiences, and insights. The session will focus on the guiding question of “what is resilience?”
RESIST will be presented on Panel 2 ‘Accelerating Resilience in Cities and Regions: Testing, Scaling, and Delivering Climate Solutions’, which will focus on how research and innovation can accelerate the deployment of adaptation solutions across cities and regions facing floods, storms, and rising seas.
