RESIST strengthens local action by turning climate adaptation into practical solutions across Europe.

Climate adaptation becomes truly effective when ideas are transformed into actions that communities can apply, adapt, and share. Across the RESIST regions, partners are developing practical tools, strengthening local capacities and exchanging knowledge to ensure that successful solutions can travel beyond regional borders and respond to Europe's growing climate challenges.

In this edition, discover highlights from the 7th RESIST Consortium Meeting in Denmark, learn how Southwest Finland is making nature-based solutions more accessible through its Raingarden Catalogue, explore Normandy's coordinated climate adaptation strategy, read the article about RESIST published in Horizon magazine, and revisit RESIST's participation at EURESFO 2026, where the project showcased integrated approaches to wildfire prevention and other climate resilience solutions.

Our latest video takes you inside the 7th RESIST Consortium Meeting, hosted by VIA University College in Aarhus. As Professor Christian Dehlbæk explains, the Central Denmark region faces increasing challenges from coastal flooding and intense rainfall, making it an ideal setting to exchange experiences and accelerate the implementation of climate adaptation solutions across Europe.

As climate change increases the frequency of droughts, flooding and heatwaves in Southwest Finland, empowering citizens to take action has become an essential part of climate adaptation. Developed within the RESIST project, the Raingarden Catalogue provides clear, accessible guidance to help property owners understand what rain gardens are, how they work, and how nature-based solutions can be implemented in everyday spaces.

Normandy’s climate adaptation strategy: a coordinated approach across local and European levels

6_Regional_event_RESIST_workshop-1024x630

Normandy is strengthening its response to increasingly frequent flooding, runoff and erosion through a coordinated climate adaptation strategy that connects local priorities with European collaboration. By combining governance, planning and knowledge exchange, the region is helping local authorities prepare for climate risks while contributing to broader resilience efforts across Europe.

The RESIST Repository Visualises CCA Solutions Across Europe

Captura de pantalla 2026-02-24 132928

The RESIST repository is a powerful tool that supports the visualisation of climate change adaptation (CCA) solutions across the 12 RESIST regions and beyond. It is connected to the solutions developed within the project through which the repository can be accessed. Developed by KU Leuven within the RESIST project, it can serve as a shared reference point for evidence-based climate adaptation beyond the project itself.
