Rehabilitation of the Post-war Agricultural Sector in Lebanon
The 2023ā2024 Israeli war on Lebanon devastated agriculture, destroying thousands of hectares of farmland and contaminating soil and water with white phosphorus and heavy metals. Farmers face unsafe conditions, displacement, and collapsing livelihoods, while olives, tobacco, and other key crops were wiped out. Local initiatives are pushing for urgent decontamination and stronger protections to secure the future of Lebanonās agriculture.

CENER 21 - Regional āBreathe Cleanā Campaign for Cleaner Air
CENER 21 supported the āBreathe Clean / DiÅ”i Äistoā campaign on World Lung Day, which mobilised ten Western Balkan cities and Croatia for cleaner air. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nova Bila hosted a bicycle parade and Sarajevo held interactive workshops. Coordinated by the Climate Bridges Network, the campaign united over 75 organisations for regional climate action.
